Tuesday 30th of November, Jessica is being absentminded again… a regular Tuesday, wonder why she was also weird on Monday.
Does she always meet that dude every Monday? Is that why she gets weird at Tuesdays? Then why was she weird at Monday? Whatever, too much thinking! <- obviously Selina’s thoughts.
Selina sits herself in front of the absentminded Jessica, she looks at Jessica while frowning; the rest of the group look on confused.
What is up with Selina, did Jessica piss her off more than usual? Even Jessica returns to the world of the living and sees the grumpy Selina.
(Jessica:)”What?” She does not sound pleased with Selina’s attitude. (Selina:)”Thinking about things, annoyed by things, the usual.”
(Jessica:)”Then why are you looking at me like you want to kill me?” (Selina:)”What, this is just the normal amount of wanting to kill you, not unusual in the slightest.”
Jessica looks over to the rest of the group who shakes their heads, they do not think she is being the normal Selina.
But the shaking of their head can also be considered a sign for not wanting to get involved, so Jessica has to handle grumpy Selina on her own.
Jessica looks at the traitors who does not want to handle Selina with scorn in her eyes, but she quickly looks back at Selina.
If something is actually wrong with Selina it would horribly affect their group dynamics, Selina is probably pseudo superhuman and could become a second Fredrick Garp…
(Jessica:)”OK, something is obviously wrong. What is going on?” Jessica asks, but it is not the normal way she talks to Selina.
Jessica is talking like she is talking to another human… yes, she is treating Selina like a human… don’t know why my brain died a little when writing this, but it did………
Selina notices the difference, but does not know the… great insult she silently suffered; not like Selina knows what is happening beyond the fourth wall.
Which is actually something that some superhumans can do and as the author of this book I am scared… but back to the conversation.
(Selina:)”Why would something be wrong?” (Jessica:)”You are acting weird, if you don’t spill the tea, then I will sleep with Chad when we go on a date.”
Charlotte and David jumps up from their chairs and people look at them oddly, but they both awkwardly sit back down; none the wiser for why they reacted like they did.
But Selina knows how great their hearing is, she knows how much Charlotte and David does not want Chad to get together with Jessica.
Not that Jessica is the most repulsive human alive, but she does not have the best reputation; a reputation of driving people to their death.
Supposedly she drove some guy to his death, breaking him down and then he was no more let’s just say… don’t want to get into too graphic details.
Well that and there are many tiny things that David does not like about her and Charlotte has also just disliked/feared her for a long time.
Selina sighs to herself, a mental communication having been opened and Charlotte and David are yelling at her… she is going to have a headache.
(Selina:)”I don’t think there is really anything to say, expect don’t sleep with Chad. Charlotte will fight you.” She pins the blame on Charlotte.
But Charlotte is fine with it, she already has a reputation for doing stuff with Chad and David; adding on to that is no big deal, even if it is wrong.
(Jessica:)”Forget about the date and fighting Charlotte for a second. This was about you, tell me or face the consequences.”
Selina’s face is twitching, this girl is really evil. (Selina:)”Just some family things.” (Stacy:)”You can tell us.” Stacy in with the great assist.
(Jessica:)”Yeah, this will be the one time in your life that I will not shit on all that you say or do… unless needed to.” Jessica continues with the greatest act of kindness ever.
At least the greatest act of kindness for her and Selina thinks deeply; this might actually be a really rare chance to have super supportive friend Jessica for help.
(Selina:)”…OK. I am actually from the same family as Ashley, well not the Jhonson family, but the family on her mother’s side.”
Selina motions towards Ashley who appeared normal until she processed the information and she made a vomiting motion, yet nothing comes out.
Did she have to make such a exaggerated response? Or that was at least what they though until they saw her face change color and she ran for the door, probably running to the bathroom.
Jessica, Stacy, Chloe and Nyarai stare oddly at the door before turning towards the fakely smiling Selina, Nyarai the only one who had a faint clue to Selina’s situation.
Selina is too used to her family’s bad reputation and effect that she can’t be bothered anymore. (Jessica:)”What happened just now?” Stacy and Chloe nod also wanting to know.
(Selina:)”In a way I come from a powerful family, but… it is not a happy nice family; more like angry drunks, with too much power and too little self control.
In this family I actually have a pretty high position, so in a sense Ashley is way below me in rank in our family… But this is nothing to be proud of.
As you saw, even Ashley does not have any good memories of the family; traumas so hard that she would feel ill whenever the family is mentioned.”
Selina looks absentmindedly at the door and her friends do so too, but they have wildly different thoughts than her.
Is Selina from a rich and powerful family? (Jessica:)”So you are not some hillbilly dumbass, but some rich and powerful little princess?”
Selina takes a couple seconds to process what she said before grabbing Jessica and rubbing her knuckles against her head, AKA a noogie. (Selina:)”Who is a hillbilly!?”
