(David:)”You are really Charlotte?” (“Charlotte”:)”Yes, I thought it would be obvious at this point.”
David cries while tightly hugging “Charlotte”, before Chad shows up without his armor on, having teleported back from wherever David threw him off.
David reaches a hand out and Chad gets magically pulled into the hug pile, as they sandwich “Charlotte” in between them.
Small sobbing sounds emanate from David, “Charlotte” and Chad almost cry just from hearing David’s crying.
David lets go of “Charlotte” and Chad also does so; “Charlotte” and Chad watch David’s broken and grieving expression.
(David:)”Chad, is this really Charlotte?” “Charlotte” goes quiet, why does it seem like David can’t accept this?
(Chad:)”… Yes, it really is Charlotte.” “Charlotte” looks over at Chad who seems extremely serious in his response.
Is there something wrong with her being Charlotte? But she is Charlotte, so what is the problem?
David look bak and forth between Chad and “Charlotte”, trying to calm down and stop himself from crying, sobbing intermittently.
(David:)”Charlotte… you are not Charlotte. Or… Whatever you thought you were, you are not; atleast not anymore.” He says wit a pained expression.
“Charlotte” appears confused so she looks at Chad. (Chad:)”David is right, kind of… you are not Charlotte. You might have been her, but you are not her.”
(“Charlotte”:)”People change, what is the problem?” (David:)”Even heaven and hell would not know who you are!” Crying loudly at the end of his sentence.
(Chad:)”Changing is normal, but changing souls is paramount to dying or being replaced. If an evil wizard tore your soul out and replaced it with his own is that you?”
“Charlotte” looks shocked at Chad and David thinking back to the mental changes that she has gone through thanks to her mutation.
(Chad:)”… Would a “you” from the past be same as the you now? Would a “you” from a different time line be the same as you? They would actually be more “you” than you, probably.”
(“Charlotte”:)”But would there not also be many Chameleon Charlottes throughout the many time lines?”
(Chad:)”Maybe, probably. But the Chameleon-Charlotte’s are not Charlotte… kind of.” Chad seems a little unsure.
(David:)”Charlotte, a change in the soul is much deeper than a change in life, destiny or choices that you could make.
It is like if your soul were put into a animal, the animal would still be you, but if an animal soul was put into you, then what is that?”
“Charlotte” stands there quietly, seeing the expression of grief on David’s face and Chad who is looking downwards, hiding his expression with shadows.
The shadows on Chad’s face being darker than other shadows, he seems to have magically enhanced the shadows to hide his face better.
(Chad:)”Honestly dying is much easier to get over, I and David could just bring you back, but… this.”
(“Charlotte”:)”But I…” “Charlotte” seems extremely confused, she is not “her”; her friends were actually “her” friends, Chad and David are not her friends.
“Charlotte” is about to cry, but before she gets an opportunity to, Chad and David move at realm piercing speed, speed that can take you to heaven or hell and back.
Hugging her way faster than she could react, Chameleon being able to dodge bullets and observe lightning strikes.
They sandwich her in between themselves as “Charlotte”‘s emotions go haywire, small sobs emanate from both “Charlotte” and David.
Chad just holding the both of them, expanding his heart and mind to envelop them; hugging their minds and souls with his.
After some crying and consoling. (“Charlotte”:)”Why did you guys disappear in a flash a couple seconds ago?” She says with intermittent sobbing.
(David:)”I smashed Chad into the moon and came back.” “Charlotte” laughs. (“Charlotte”:)”Really?”
(Chad:)”Yeah, the moon has another crater now thanks to David. Fucking hurt by the way.” “Charlotte” laughs and so does David.
(David:)”You deserve it.” (Chad:)”Had to give… Neo-Charlotte some time to spend with us, can’t let you tell her too soon.”
“Charlotte” and David agrees to this, but can’t help but feel like their friendship is being looked down upon.
(Neo-Charlotte:)”Neo-Charlotte nice. But what happened to Nidhogg? Where is he?” (Chad:)”He is dead.”
The hugging pile on the roof goes quiet… (Neo-Charlotte:)”What?” (Chad:)”I sent him to the “paradise” after he successfully turned you.”
(David:)”You killed it?” (Chad:)”Nope, I knew it would do what it did; gave it some help and made a contract with it, so it would be gentler with Charlotte.
In return I would send it to the paradise of creatures like it: the dragon realm.” (Neo-Charlotte:)”Thanks?”
She says confused by the word “gentler”, it was extremely painful if she remembers correctly.
