David visits the Doomsday castle.

While Chad and Nyarai are reading in the little library, David walks in the door still covered in holy lights, traces from equipping his Brightman armor.
Chad looks oddly at David. (Chad:)”Did you have a difficult time getting here?” He says while observing the traces of light on David and his combat ready spiritual energy.
(David:)”…Not more than usual and this castle is a death trap.” He walk over to a couch close by and… ignores it, laying himself down on the cold floor instead.
David moans in pleasure, the floor healing his tiredness. Nyarai walks up to him, crouches down and starts petting his head.
(Nyarai:)”There, there. Everything is fine. Rest well.” Comforting David, as Nyarai is the oldest out of everyone here, she feels the need to care for Chad and David whenever she can.
David feels odd about this, but also comfortable so he lets it go; enjoying the care he gets from Nyarai, who is technically older than him, thechnically…

While laying on the floor and getting petted by Nyarai. (David:)”Why is this the little library?” David always asks the important questions(sarcasm).
(Chad:)”Well, the main library is filled with books that bite, not like the books here don’t bite, but… they bite less hard”
David looks confusedly at Chad and then to Nyarai, who nods in agreement; the books do really bite, some harder than others, which is why she hates the “main” library.
(Chad:)”This library was set up for me when I was young, so that Oswald would not lose another apprentice to powerful and evil grimoires.”
Casually talking about the death of his predecessors and how dangerous the library is, how dangerous the castle is.
(Chad:)”So the grimoires here curse you less, bite you less, burn you less…” And he continues spouting on and on and on about this place being much safer.
When in reality he is just making this place seem way less safe and David worries about his childhood.

Nyarai interrupts Chad’s droning on and on about how much safer this place is at not accidentally splitting you dimensionally.
(Nyarai:)”David, do you know what a mullfang is?” David looks at Nyarai confusedly. (David:)”Heard about them, but don’t know much.”
(Nyarai:)”I don’t know if they even exists, the Oswald clones warn me constantly about a mullfang getting free, but I have never seen a mullfang.
And Chad has told me that they can write themselves out of existence, see the future, tell if you are a nice person and much, much more.”
(David:)”Yeah, Chad says a lot of strange things about this supposed mullfang creature, he told me it can befriend people’s past.
Like it meets somebody and then enters the past, becoming a friend with your past self, so that when you meet it for the first time, it is already a friend from your childhood.”
(Nyarai:)”Yeah, he also said that if he showed me a picture of it, I would never be able to meet one in real life.”
David looks confused at Chad. (David:)”Did you not show me a picture of it before? Don’t want me to ever see one?”
(Chad:)”Did I actually show you one?” He asks in surprise and David nods, Chad spends the next couple minutes profusely apologizing to him.

After David rests a little, he sits together with Chad and Nyarai in the little library, talking about their futures and life in general.
(David:)”I really can’t understand why you would want to live in a castle this unsafe.” (Chad:)”I got used to it.” David worries about what Chad considers normal…
(Nyarai:)”This place is crazy, but… there is sooo much food, sooo much knowledge; a paradise for those that can tame the chaos.”
Nyarai, already spouting strange information that she has learnt from tomes and grimoires, while David understands, but does not want to.
David glances at Ferla the ghost maid, trying to look through a book, but a dragon stretches out of the book biting her, so she awkwardly puts it back in the shelf.
Nyarai notices where David is looking. (Nyarai:)”And I made friends with Ferla, she is a great maid, very competent.”
Ferla acting nonchalant, pretending to not have been bitten by a “dragon” book; Chad looks over and she quickly stands straight hiding her wounded hand, acting like a competent maid.
(Chad:)”Ferla, dragon force will deteriorate your form if not treated properly.” And Chad sees through her instantly; she deflates, showing her wounded hand to him.
Chad walks over to Ferla to treat her wound and while Chad and Ferla focus on the dragon force decay in her wound.

(Nyarai:)”I got chased around last night, while trying to find the bathroom, wherever that is.” Nyarai tell David about her chase throughout the castle.
David frowns and looks over at Chad who is treating Ferla in the corner of the room, both Chad and Ferla having “guilty” facial expressions.
(Nyarai:)”So in the end the anywhere pantry saved me from the creature and dropped me off at Chad’s room, to hide and sleep at.”
(David:)”A sneezing devil huh?” He stares at Chad and Ferla, who twitched at different parts of the story, for their own individual reasons.
(Nyarai:)”Yeah, Chad said it was Oduuur the painted evil god, who chased me.” She motions to Chad, who nods in agreement.
David gives a long hard stare at Chad and Ferla, who both tremble hard at his holy judgement eyes.
