Tuesday October 12th, returning to school; Chad and David talk about the recent events without the spell to mask their conversations as Charlotte sits behind them and is too observant.
(David:)”Is there really a new hero and was Alexander right?” Mentioning the interview with Alexander that was on TV this morning.
(Chad:)”Yes, he was oddly accurate, like always. As if he knows the hero personally and even I don’t feel like I can talk that confidently about this new hero.”
(David:)”It sounds like you also know a bit about this new hero.” (Chad:)”I feel like I should now really well, but Alexander makes me feel like I don’t know them best.”
Charlotte listens in and cringes, thinking about her recent heroics and the impact it had, not really being completely aware of her friends’ conversation.
Just assuming that Chad is talking about how he is an avid superhero fan, and knows a lot about heroes; he used to talk about strange personal stories of different super heroes.
Though can you blame her; how could she expect her friends to be as awesome as they are? She is too used to them talking about crazy things(games) and bragging(about their game characters).
Which used to be their normal way of covering their conversations about the heroics they did.
During an interview with Alexander, the interviewer Erika Crimson asks about the “ghost” hero.
(Erika:)”Is the rumored ghost hero real? And if so, what do you know about this “ghost” hero?” Erika smiles and Alexander smiles in return.
(Alexander:)”This is why I am here actually, not just to find a place to dump some of my case information onto you guys, but to give a little… intro to the new hero.
Please bring up the scenes of the “ghost” hero’s heroics and I will try to explain what I am able to.”
He motions to the screen behind/in between him and Erika and the stage crew go to work and the screen lights up with videos of the incident.
(Alexander:)”So this super hero has the ability to turn invisible, good strength, speed, defence and she is just generally a great person.”
(Erika:)”Wait, she?” (Alexander:)”Yes, so please don’t walk around with your arms outstretched like these people, she will probably not like being groped by strangers.”
Erika blushes while Alexander motions towards the screen showing people walking around after the incident with their arms outstretched and thanking the invisible hero.
(Alexander:)”And the codename for this hero, or superhero name is: Chameleon. For her ability to go invisible, her scales, tail and stretchable tongue.”
(Erika:)”So she has scales and a tail, does she look like a reptile? Then Chameleon fits for multiple reasons, not just the invisibility.”
(Alexander:)”Yes and during the car ride where Chameleon throws people out of the moving vehicle was her using her tail.”
And the screen behind him shows the car being ripped open and the criminals shooting their guns into the air while they get magically thrown out of the vehicle.
(Erika:)”Awesome! Do you have any more words about the Chameleon, or maybe for Chameleon?” Alexander nods.
(Alexander:)”I have some words for her. Sorry for digging up all this info, I’m sorry if I scared you by figuring out so much about you.”
The Tv crew and Erika look on oddly as Alexander continues.
(Alexander:)”This info was gained through strange sources, so you do not need to worry about having left any traces behind.
You are impossible to track by most about anybody, do not worry about having your identity revealed, just stay on guard like normal.
My sources are just too good, even Nightknight and Brightman can’t see through you, so don’t worry.”
Alexander smiles and Charlotte watching this with her father early in the morning is sweating coldly.
Back to the conversation between Chad and David with Charlotte listening in.
(David:)”So who is she?” Charlotte sweats in panic and Chad glances at her before saying.
(Chad:)”Seeing through her is impossible, reality needs to unravel for her identity to be revealed. Though I do know who it is.”
He says with a smug bragging voice and David looks annoyed, while Charlotte stares oddly at Chad and Chad stares back, making her panic.
(David:)”OK, I don’t care anymore. Keep on being a little smug shit.” Chad smiles and gives a thumbs up towards Charlotte who trembles in panic.
David observes in silence unsure of what is going on between the two of them but noticing Charlotte’s feelings.
(David:)”Charlotte do you wanna play games today?” David tries to appease Charlotte and her chaotic feelings.
And Charlotte can not decide if she wants to play games today with her friends or continue training and experimenting with her abilities.
She also needs to find that Alexander dude and ask him some questions; Charlotte appears pained from being indecisive, struggling with her thoughts fighting inside her.
Which just furthers David’s worry for her and remembering the call he and Chad got from her father asking about anything and everything, David’s worries are endless!
