Having spent their Friday at Chad’s castle it is now Monday, 27th of September.
Selina is hunched over her desk surrounded by her friends, worrying about her family and feeling bad about what they have done.
Chad and David are talking by themselves while Charlotte is working on something by herself on her desk.
(Chad:)”I have lost my sword somewhere, maybe it ran away from home and I can’t find my fluffy feather cloak, which I believe flew off somewhere.”
David nods pretending to care as he does not understand what Chad is saying and he is considering whether he really needs to do anything with the info Chad gives him.
(Chad:)”Oh, also I had a dream. Something about you needing to be careful with flying pigs and love infused metal swords.”
David nods realizing Chad is saying useless crazy shit, so he tries to make Chad stop saying crazy shit.
(David:)”How is Nyarai and how are you dealing with her clan?”
(Chad:)”She is doing fine, we went out and had fun, she was quiet and did what she was told. No problems there, gave her some material to look through.
The material being illusory scenes from my and others memories of school, plus some scenes from average everyday life that is a culture shock for her.
She is great at English except it is quite old fashioned English, she was taught by Oswald and he is ancient.
And which clan did you refer to? The clanmates I have in the dungeon or the ones in Africa? Because the ones in Africa are no problems, they are too weak to matter.
The ones in the dungeons want Nyarai dead and they know too much about her, so I thought to either kill them off or just let them stay there, never able to hurt her.”
David looks on in silence, he asked which I was referring to but he answered both either way. (David:)”That is great for her and just leave them for now.”
While David and Chad chats about their superhero things, Selina is gossiping with her friends.
(Chloe:)”So how was your time with Chad, do you like him? Did you guys do anything fun?” She asks with a knowing smile insinuating “something?”.
(Selina:)”We did nothing sexual, David was also there.” Her friends look disappointed in her until. “But I found out that Chad is secretly rich.”
(Chloe:)”No way?!” (Stacy:)”Shut up! You are lying.” (Jessica:)”Coming up with lies just for attention, how low of you.” They all glance at the hypocrite before looking back at Selina.
(Selina:)”I was just as shocked, no. I was more shocked; he is not just rich, he is very rich.” She motions exaggeratingly.
Her friends realize that she is serious before they go wide eyed looking over at Chad.
(Selina:)”I mean what did you expect of a friend of Charlotte, Chad is rich and probably gonna be a super famous athlete.
David might be as smart as Charlotte, so there is no question about whether he will be successful or not, working together in the future…
Those three are all amazing, not even mentioning that Charlotte is factually the most important person in our class.”
They look back at Selina with strange expressions. (Jessica:)”Then why don’t you just hang out with them, you traitor.”
(Selina:)”I have no interest in Charlotte, but I will definitely stay close with Chad and David. I came to this school just to catch myself a rich man.” This is half a lie.
She shrugs and they nod understandingly to her reason for coming to this school, not understanding that this is not just a thing that she was told, she actually intends to get married.
Many witches would seek out a rich/handsome man and drug them with a love potion and marry them; not nice, but normal for witches.
Back at Chad and David still talking about their personal superhero business.
Charlotte walks up. (Charlotte:)”This is like the tenth time that I have heard you guys talk about needing to “go past the statue, dig under the broken tree, put down a picnic blanket, eat an apple and get a golden radish”. Chad how bad is your memory?” She is talking about one of the fake conversations that Chad’s spell covers their real conversations with.
David glares at Chad for not putting in more fake conversations into the spell and Chad sweats having forgot how good Charlotte’s memory is.
(Charlotte:)”And you David, I thought you would have noticed and stopped Chad.” David glares even more at Chad who hides his shameful face.
(David:)”I was just reminding Chad about the method as long as he asks for it, I wont judge him by his bad memory, he is not like us; be more mindful of normal people.”
Turning this back on Charlotte as if she should not make fun of Chad’s lacking intelligence, when David actually really wants to curve stomp the moron.
(Charlotte:)”Oh, I’m sorry. Chad sorry for mentioning it.” She apologizes to Chad who is super embarrassed but not for the reason she thinks.
Class starts after Chad awkwardly accept her apology… feeling like crying about his own stupidity.
